課程目標 (Objectives)：
初探並學習除了目前市面上除了windows作業系統外，相當常用的網路管理及伺服器的作業系統-Unix，本課程的目標在使學生能有Unix的操作概念及熟悉Linux的資源運用，並且可以進一步邁立資訊系統運用及管理基本技能。
The course's objective is to introduce a non-microsoft operating system, i.e., UNIX. This course will focus on UNIX command, utilities and the environment. For on-lining practicing, the newer version of Linux distribution like Fedora Linux is used for homework and projects.

◆作業到期時間將於線上公告，逾期不候。
◆學生有義務出席上課，如無法出席，請事先請假(必須與老師聯繫上並且得到回應，由他人代請假者不算); 如遇緊急事件，請儘快補送假單，相關規定請參閱學生手冊。
◆如學生缺席超過整學期的1/3，將會可能會被扣考，請注意。
◆嚴格執行考場秩序要求，有任何作弊行為，絕不寬貸(求情也沒有用)，因為人格比成績更重要。

Announcement of homework can be found online. Assignment hand-in deadline will be announced online, no delay is tolerable. Students are obliged to attend classes; if not, should inform the tutor first and get the response in person (no deputy of the third party). When encounter emergencies, please inform the school authority with formal notifications as soon as possible. Please also note that a student who is absent for more than one third of the semester might be asked to take detention exam. There is no tolerance for behaviour such as cheating of any kind would be allowed in the exams, for personal character is much more important than test results!!
